- How do you add a decimal hour to a time? For example, how do you add 7.2 hours to8:00a.m?(1 vote)
- Convert the 0.2 hours to minutes. There are 60 minutes in an hour. So 0.2 hours is 0.2*60 = 12.0 = 12 minutes.
So 7.2 hours is 7 hours and 12 minutes.
Adding 7 hours and 12 minutes to 8 : 00 am gives 3 : 12 pm.
