When was the first robot created and who was its creator/inventor?

The first robot ever created was created in Ancient Greece, believe it or not, and was a steam powered pigeon. Pretty crazy, huh? :) And this was created in around 400 to 300 BCE by an mathematician called Archytas. But the first digital and programmable robot was created by a man named George Devol in 1954 and it was called the Unimate. It was a HUGE step forward into modern robotics, laying down the foundation for awesome kits like the EV3 and Mindstorms. Hope this answered your question!

Yes there is a very easy to use programming software

I use Ev3, will NXT programming be similar enough??

no you cant run a nxt robot with ev3 programming and vice versa move sare similar enough for understanding
